Default Bots changed farming place.

I just wonder have You noticed all these cheaters using bots are farming now in Droknar's Forge because of Griffons farming nerf? I thought the latest update will make them finding new farm place a little longer.
Anyway, can't ANet really do something with that?

It's easy, just add in scarabs in the cave.
Remember, them scarabs are attracted by huge amounts of corpses.

The "new" Southern Shiverpeak's Queen Scarab could be a distant relative of the desert Queen Scarab.

Problem solved.

nerfing the game because of botters very directly punishes alot of people that arent bots and cheats. Not at all good for the whole. Best and only real decision is to ban those accounts. Start with a warning, if these warnings arent heeded. Then ban.

Dont punish the masses because of the few!

If all of them were bots, ANet would have banned them a long time ago. Personally I have trouble believing that even a single one of them is a bot but since the community is so utterly convinced I'll concede that a small percentage may be bots.

The rest of them, the majority, aren't cheating.

The farming spot outside Droknar's Forge gives junk as far as money/items are concerned. No one farming there is going to be making any appreciable amount of gold. Rather, people farm there because it's one of the only places in the game that takes some of the pain out of grinding skill points. If ANet gave a decent way to get new skill points without having to grind for experience, then I'd be willing to bet that the farming outside Droks would drop off dramatically.

Of course, it's always possible that the bots have moved in there, though their owners will be sorely disappointed at the creeping rate of money flowing out of that cave.

Geez, people, are You blind? These female, blue-dyed monks are even running in a line on the exactly the same way, automatically from gate-to-merchant. They dont even try to look and act as a real player -,-

Dryders are the most effective way to handle the botters in the cave.

All they have to do is move one mob of birds closer to the entrance. Every tried 55ing a guille?

Good grief, why introduce monsters so totally foreign to the area. Scarabs and dryders, lol.

There is no need to neft the troll cave. Nothing drops there except for lots of raven staffs. You will get 1 gold drop every 2-3 hours which is not effective. This is the best spot on the game for gaining skill points.

There is no reason to change this area because of farmers. You nerf this spot they will move again. Then there will be no spot left to farm eventually. I'm not against farms because I've learned that Anet can change the prices manually. They can make adjustments to keep things in line.

Again farming is not the best way to make gold in this game. Someday people will learn that.

I hope they nerf the living snot out of the Troll run. The other night the server was having issues, and everyone got disconnected. I happened to be in Droks. You should have seen the ridiculouslly long line of blue tatto'd female monks without a guild and with similar names moving almost in tandum to the freaking exit. You cannot tell me that is NOT a problem. I can hardly see how anyone (even farmers) want the game to be saturated with worthless gold. You say they'll move again? Yea but they'll be moving somewhere harder to farm. The reason they did Griffons was it was easy and gave a great return. They farm Trolls because it's easy. They spots will get harder, and more and more will fall out. I'm not against farming, but it should not be as easy and repetitive as it has been in the past.

i dont think anyone needs punishment for any of this. why should someone be punished for making a bot for no gain but gold? i thik its cool they can design a prog that keeps them from sitting in front of their pc spending a rediculous amount of time. after ive built 12 characters i think gw should provide me with a bot to give me a life other than gw... haha

But the troll run isn't very profitable. The only reason to do it over any other farming spot is experience for skill points.

If you want money, desert hydras, griffons, minos, and even sand drakes will get you more gold than the trolls. Hell, I think even the undead outside of Bergen will net you more money over time than the trolls.

Actually, it's most certainly not the best spot for gaining skill points. UW/FoW are vastly quicker, mostly because of all the quest rewards you can get (although only a select few can actually do them.)

I don't know.. you can pretty much gain a level ever 3 minutes there at a consistant rate.

Exactly.

I got this stupid goal of unlocking every skill on all professions for my monk. With that in mind, I buy a double xp for 30secs scroll everytime I run out there (can't afford the triple xp scrolls from the drops). I don't know how much gold you'd from griffon farming in an hour, however I get about 8-12 mountain troll tusks that the kind merchart will give me 8g each and a few drops that won't total 1k per run. I go for about 3-4 skill points a night and get a gold crappy drop average of twice a week. I'll probably be able to afford my FoW armor via this method in about 8 years.

Outside of Destinys is nice now, I took a tour there, went up the stair place, and cleared a big part of the area (The Scar). I noticed that it was fairly easy with 55hp, except the scarabs. And I agree, trolls aren't good for drops, even the Sand Giants have better drops. So, for all GRrs (what's the word for a person that does GR?), go there.
